Teens With A Mission 5K and Half Mile Fun Run - Glow Run

The event takes place in Salisbury, North Carolina, with start and finish at Overton Elementary School and courses on the Greenway and through the Eagle Heights neighborhood. It is organized as an evening glow run and includes a 5K and a half mile fun run.

• Half mile - out-and-back on the greenway

The half mile fun run is an out-and-back route along the greenway and will have the Teens With a Mission youth group lining the path to cheer participants. The 5K starts at Overton Elementary School near the baseball field and follows West Park Road to a turnaround, returns toward the school, then continues through Hickory Drive, E. Park Road, W. Park Road, the Greenway, Prescott Drive and nearby neighborhood streets before returning to the finish beside the breezeway at Overton.

Proceeds support Teens With A Mission for work helping families in need and community outreach. On-site race day check-in and registration are available; fees listed are 5K $30 and Fun Run $20. Timing and scoring are provided by Salisbury Rowan Runners.

Awards are given for overall and age group placings in the 5K, with special awards for masters and age group winners. The fun run awards top finishers age 12 and under and medals for other finishers. Race bags include shirts, a reflective glow band, glow bracelets and necklaces, sponsor items and snacks. Awards will not be mailed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
