Haunted 5K, 10K, 13.1M & 26.2M : Athens, GA (October 10, 2026)
The event takes place on October 10, 2026, at the North Oconee River Greenway Trailhead, Athens, GA 30605. Distances offered are:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half Marathon
- Marathon
Entry fees listed on the event page are $30 for the 5K, $45 for the 10K, $65 for the Half Marathon, and $95 for the Marathon. Registration is required through RunSignup; there is no on-site registration.
Course, rules and extras
The 5K and 10K use an out-and-back course described as 3.11 miles; the 5K completes that out-and-back once and the 10K twice. The Half Marathon and Marathon use an out-and-back course described as 3.28 miles; the Half Marathon repeats it four times and the Marathon repeats it eight times. There is a 6-hour course time limit. Packet pickup opens 30 minutes before the race and closes 10 minutes before the race start. All finishers will receive a themed finisher medal. Wearing a costume is optional; a best-costume recognition is mentioned. The race awards series points toward the US Road Running Race Series.
