AthHalf Half Marathon and AthFest Educates 5K
The event in Athens, Georgia includes a half marathon, a 5K, and a virtual half marathon option. Courses pass through Athens historic districts, downtown, and the University of Georgia campus. The 5K explores downtown and the Boulevard neighborhood.
Local Athens bands perform live throughout the half marathon course, and a live band appears at the 5K start and finish. Athens residents line the course to cheer and entertain runners.
The event is produced annually by the nonprofit organization AthFest Educates. Race proceeds support funding for music and arts education programming for local K to 12 youth.
