Event details
The New Year running event takes place on January 10, 2026, in Athens, GA (30605). The event location is the North Oconee River Greenway Trailhead at North Oconee Access Road. Registration is required on RunSignup and there is no on-site registration. Packet pickup opens 30 minutes before the race and closes 10 minutes before the race start. The race awards points toward the US Road Running Race Series.

Course and awards
The 5K and 10K use an out-and-back course; the 5K completes that course once and the 10K twice. The Half Marathon also uses an out-and-back course and completes that route four times. The event has a course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes. All finishers receive a themed finisher medal. Wearing a costume is optional; a best costume feature is encouraged.
