Course and format
The UpRiver Running Fall Races are an annual trail running event in Thunder Bay, Ontario, with start and finish at Kinsmen Park (Trowbridge). The event offers multiple distances and includes a children’s trail run.

Most of the courses run on single track through local trails including Shuniah Mines, Cascades Conservation Area, Centennial Park and Trowbridge Park. The 10 km is a single loop through Shuniah Mines. The 25 km is one loop with two out-and-back sections and about 370 m of climbing. The 50 km consists of two 25 km loops on the same route and features technical, rolling terrain.
Aid and logistics: multiple aid stations offer water, Tailwind drink mix, fruit, snacks and gels. The 50 km has five aid stations spaced along the route. The event is chip timed and cupless; participants should bring a reusable cup or bottle. The 50 km has a 9 hour cutoff with intermediate course cutoffs.
Other details: all finishers receive a medal. Awards are given to the first finisher in each age division for the 10 km, 25 km and 50 km (39 and under, 40+ Masters, 50+ Grand Masters). A free shuttle runs to and from Current River Community Centre. Race entries are non refundable; bibs are transferable until the registration deadline.
