Purpose and extras
Proceeds from the event are designated for a planned dog park and for signage telling the story of a dog lost to chronic kidney disease. The event description highlights raising awareness about canine chronic kidney disease and encourages testing and early detection.

All participants will receive a finisher's medal; additional medals will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers in both the 5k and the 2k.
