About the race
The Dirty Kiln Trail Races take place on April 10, 2027, at Canoe Creek State Park near Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania (205 Canoe Creek Road, 16648). The event offers two trail race options that use the park's mix of wide paths, winding singletrack, stream crossings, and muddy sections.
Distances:
- Short Course : 10K-ish: single loop around the park including one climb of Moore's Hill.
- Long Course : Half-Marathon (13.1 miles): the 10K loop plus a second loop with four additional climbs.
Registration opens September 14, 2026 and closes January 3, 2027. Entry fees are $35 for the short course and $40 for the long course. There are no same-day signups, and the organizers do not permit deferrals or bib transfers.
Allegheny Trailrunners, Inc. organizes the races as a volunteer-run 501c3 not-for-profit. Net proceeds from the event are contributed to predetermined charities and other non-profit organizations. The courses feature varied terrain and elevation changes; participants should expect trail conditions that can include mud and stream crossings.
