Twilight Race - Altoona
Twilight Race takes place on December 31, 2026 at Lakemont Park, 700 Park Avenue, Altoona, PA. Courses pass through the Lights on the Lake display and participants receive a pass for the light display.
Distances offered
- 5K Run : loop course, runners complete 3 laps
- 2 Mile Run : loop course, runners complete 2 laps
- 2 Mile Walk : walk only, no running allowed
The event notes that the 5K and 2 mile courses are not true measured distances. Participants are responsible for keeping track of their own laps. Race numbers must be worn; colored bibs designate each race. A $5 fee applies for replacement bibs. For safety, headsets and pets are not permitted. Walk participants should exit the park by 6:00 PM when Lights on the Lake tours begin.
Registration opens February 21, 2026. The stated registration fee is $26 and race day registration is available. The first 700 registrants are guaranteed a long sleeve t-shirt. Registration fees are not refundable.
Race packet pickup is available at the Blair Regional YMCA on December 30 from 12:00 PM to 7:30 PM, and on December 31 from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the Y plus 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the race site.
Awards include overall medals and age group awards for male and female finishers across listed age divisions. Organizers request volunteers to serve as road marshals; volunteers receive a race t-shirt and food. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
