About the race
Twilight Race is held at Lakemont Park in Altoona, Pennsylvania on December 31, 2026. The course runs through the Lights on the Lake holiday display and uses a looped route at the park.
Distances offered:
- 5K Run
- 2 Mile Run
- 2 Mile Walk
The 5K and 2 Mile run courses share the same loop; the 5K uses three laps and the 2 Mile run uses two laps. The event notes that these are not true certified 5K or 2 mile distances and that participants are responsible for keeping track of their own laps. The 2 Mile Walk requires walking only; runners who wish to do the walk portion may do so without additional registration if they keep their race bib.
Registration information from the organizer: registration opens and closes on specified dates, a registration fee applies, race day registration is available, and the first 700 registrants are guaranteed a long sleeve t-shirt. Racers must wear the provided race bib; colored bibs identify each race. A replacement bib fee is charged if a new bib is issued. Headsets of any kind and pets are not permitted. Race entry fees are nonrefundable.
Awards are presented immediately after the event. Medals will be given to overall top finishers for each race and to the top three male and female finishers in multiple age categories. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
