The event begins and ends at Hubbard Park in Iowa City. The course is a 3.1-mile scenic route through the city using paved trails and sidewalks. Due to construction in City Park, the route will be adjusted and double back on itself for the current year. The route will be marked with signs, and volunteers will be stationed along it for guidance. There will be one water station on the course.
Age-based awards will be given for timed participants. Team awards are also offered in categories including Fastest Walking Team, Best Dressed, participation in Mini Games, and Biggest Team.
