Unity Race 5K Run/Walk
Unity Race 5K Run/Walk takes place on September 19, 2026 at Crotona Park in the Bronx, NY, at 1700 Crotona Ave. The event is organized by Crotona Park Running Club, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
The event format is a community 5K, approximately 3.1 miles, on a predefined course in Crotona Park. Members of the NYPD and community members run together. The event includes a community wellness fair and distribution of focus-group-tested literature and other giveaways intended to support positive relations between the NYPD and the community.
Participation is free and an optional donation is suggested; the organizer suggests $15 but donations of any amount are accepted. Proceeds will support community development projects such as Life Skills Learning Centers and vocational book distribution.
Awards are presented to the top three male and female overall finishers, and to the top male and female in each age group: 9 & Under, 10-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 & Over. Bib pickup is handled by event staff on race day; personalized bibs require registration in advance and last-minute registrants may receive their bib number by text quickly.
