NYRR Ted Corbitt 15K
The NYRR Ted Corbitt 15K is an annual road race in Central Park, Manhattan, held on December 5, 2026. The event covers 15K and honors Ted Corbitt, noted for his leadership at New York Road Runners, for pioneering long-distance and ultramarathon running, and for contributions to course measurement and age-group competition.
Finishers receive a commemorative medal and all participants receive a New Balance long-sleeve tri-blend T-shirt. The race is a scored event that awards club points and is listed as a 9+1 program qualifier. The event is open to runners aged 16 and up.
Awards are presented on site to the top three finishers in the overall men, women, and nonbinary divisions; age-group placings may claim awards after the race. Prize money is equal across men, women, and nonbinary divisions for eligible NYRR members and includes cash awards for the top five finishers plus masters 40+ prizes. Time bonuses are available for winners who break the event records and for top finishers who meet specified net time standards.
Race operations note that only clear bags may be checked and bag size should not exceed 17 inches wide by 20 inches high by 7 inches deep. Clothing donation bins will be available at the start corrals and along the course for extra layers placed in good condition to support local distribution efforts.
