NYRR Ted Corbitt 15K
The NYRR Ted Corbitt 15K is an annual road race held in Central Park at the Naumburg Bandshell area on West 72nd Street in Manhattan. The 18th edition takes place on Saturday, December 5, 2026, and is contested over a 15K course.
The event honors Ted Corbitt, the first president of New York Road Runners, an early African American Olympic marathon competitor, and an ultramarathon pioneer noted for running more than 170,000 miles and for contributions to course measurement and age-group competition. Finishers receive a commemorative medal, and all participants receive a New Balance long-sleeve tri-blend T-shirt.
Competition features on-site awards for the top three overall finishers in the men, women, and nonbinary divisions, and age-group awards may be claimed after the race. A NYRR Member Division offers prize money for top finishers with listed amounts for placing and masters categories; eligibility requires a valid paid NYRR membership from at least September 5, 2026 and completion of the course within the stated time standard for prize eligibility. Time bonuses are available for breaking event records and for meeting specified net time standards.
Logistics include race-number pickup at the NYRR RUNCENTER (320 West 57th Street), clear-bag rules for bag check, live unofficial tracking via the NYRR app, and accessibility accommodations and guide or support runner arrangements through NYRR accessibility resources.
