NYRR Ted Corbitt 15K

The NYRR Ted Corbitt 15K is an annual running event held in Central Park, Manhattan. Now in its 18th year, the race honors the legacy of Ted Corbitt, an Olympian, ultramarathon pioneer, and the first president of the New York Road Runners. The event attracts participants for a competitive 15 km course through the paved loops of the park.

Participants receive a New Balance long-sleeve tri-blend T-shirt, and finishers are awarded a commemorative medal. The race is a scored event and offers several professional and club-level incentives:

  • 15 km

The event is eligible for 9+1 Credit toward the TCS New York City Marathon and provides Club Points for local running teams. Scored results are posted after the race, and prize money is available for top finishers in the overall and age-group categories who meet specific membership and time requirements.

Race materials, including timing tags and bibs, can be collected at the NYRR RUNCenter in Manhattan prior to the event. For accessibility, the organizers provide accommodations for athletes with disabilities, including the option to request guide or support runners. The event also features sustainability initiatives, such as clothing donation bins at the start area where extra layers are collected for donation to New Yorkers in need.
