Event overview

UltraTrax Burke Mountain takes place on Sunday, October 25, 2026, in East Burke, Vermont (223 Sherburne Lodge Rd). The event is organized as a timed trekking challenge rather than a race. Participants must complete their chosen distance within a 10-hour limit to receive finish items and awards.

Distances and pricing

  • 7 miles - Level 1, price listed as $56 (price increases after June 1, 2026)
  • 14 miles - Level 2, price listed as $86 (price increases after June 1, 2026)

  • 28 miles - Level 4, price listed as $116 (price increases after June 1, 2026)

Course and logistics

The route is a loop across Burke Mountain that uses forested single-track, old logging roads, rocky ridgelines, and spruce-covered slopes with valley and mountain views. The course will be marked. Participants can choose to add a weighted vest or ruck in 10, 20, or 35 lb increments; carrying weight unlocks additional finisher items. Bibs may be mailed or picked up the morning of the event; registrations made after October 1, 2026 require in-person bib pickup, and a friend or relative may collect a bib on another participant's behalf. Complimentary onsite parking is available.

Finish items and on-site services

Finishers receive a custom t-shirt and velcro patch. Level 3 and Level 4 finishers qualify to earn the UltraTrax Grey Wolf Medal. Refreshments and food are provided after the trek. On-site activities include zip lines, a waterpark, and a mountain coaster. A portion of proceeds is donated to the Conservation Lands Foundation.
