Danville Bear Crawl 5K Fun Run
The Danville Bear Crawl 5K Fun Run is a community athletic event held in Danville, Vermont. This event serves as a benefit for the Danville Farmers Market and is scheduled to coincide with the 95th Annual Danville Community Fair. The course consists of a 5 km loop that begins and ends at the town green.
Participants start on the west side of the green and follow a route that leads down Peacham Road. The path turns east onto a trail and continues before hitting Brainerd Street, eventually returning to the starting point on the green. Registration is open to several age groups, including adults 18 and over, youth aged 14-17, and children 13 and under.
Following the run, a gathering takes place on the green featuring music, snacks, and drinks. Prizes are awarded to participants who win within their specific age categories. The event is positioned to allow attendees to watch the Grand Street Parade, which follows the race route through Brainerd Street, Route 2, and Park Street. Check-in and day-of registration activities are located on the east side of the green near Park Street and the Post Office. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
