Danville Bear Crawl 5K Fun Run
The Danville Bear Crawl is a community 5K fun run held on August 1st, 2026 in Danville, Vermont as part of the town fair activities. The event benefits the Danville Farmers Market and includes a post-race gathering on the Green with music and refreshments.
The event is presented as a family friendly run and walk. All ages may walk, run, or ride in a stroller, and only service dogs are permitted. Runners receive bibs; the event is not chip timed but a clock will be available for participants to note their times. Prizes are awarded in each age group and the names and times of the top three male and female finishers are displayed on a scoreboard.
Fee information is provided for different age groups. Regular pricing lists $20 for adults and $15 for ages 14 to 17. Early bird pricing is noted as March to April 31st at $15 and $10, and May 1 to June 30th at $18 and $13. Children age 13 and under are free. Online registration is available through July 31st, with day-of-event registration permitted otherwise.
The route includes a water stop outside the Danville Train Station. Volunteers are requested to assist with setup, water stations, the after party and guiding runners along the route on August 1st. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
