Alpine Valley UltraTrax

UltraTrax at Alpine Valley in Elkhorn, WI is a single-day, 10-hour endurance walking challenge held in fall. The event uses a 7-mile loop and offers multiple distance options over varied terrain. The route crosses forested hillsides, twisting single-track, open ski runs, and steady ascents that reflect the Kettle Moraine region.

Participants choose a distance and may add weight by carrying a ruck or vest in specified increments. The event provides professionally timed tracking, well marked trails with volunteers at key intersections, and well stocked aid stations. Event registration includes a commemorative patch, a custom event T-shirt, and medals: a Trail Wolf medal for shorter distances and a Grey Wolf medal for longer distances. Professional photos are included.

Lodging is available at Alpine Valley Resort, which lists on-site amenities such as an indoor pool and hot tub. A portion of registration fees supports the Conservation Lands Foundation. Volunteer roles are offered with benefits that can include free registration and exclusive merchandise. Course elevation details are listed as TBD and loop distance is confirmed as 7 miles.
