Alpine Valley - UltraTrax (October 9, 2027)
Alpine Valley in Elkhorn, WI is a trail event set on the wooded slopes and ski runs of Alpine Valley Resort. The route uses forested hillsides, twisting single-track, ridgeline sections, fire roads, and steady ascents that highlight the Kettle Moraine landscape. The season is fall and the listed average temperature is 64°F.
The event is organized as repeated 7 mile loops. Participants select a level based on how many loops they plan to complete and may add weight to their pack for an extra challenge. Distances include:
- 7 miles : one loop (Level 1)
- 14 miles : two loops (Level 2)
- 21 miles : three loops (Level 3)
- 28 miles : four loops (Level 4)
Course support includes well-marked trails, staffed aid stations, professional timing, and on-course photographers. Each participant receives a trail pack with a commemorative patch and an UltraTrax finisher shirt; upper levels can earn the Grey Wolf medal and bonus swag for vest or ruck. Lodging is available at Alpine Valley Resort, which lists resort amenities such as an indoor pool and hot tub and provides close access to the course.
