About the race
Jingle for Janet is a community running and walking event held in Waterford, Wisconsin at 611 West Main Street. The event offers an onsite competitive, timed 5K and a non timed 3K walk intended for participants who want to enjoy outdoor activity and community spirit. A post race gathering takes place at Spanky's Sports Bar and Grill.

The event raises funds for the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation and is held in memory of a longtime Waterford resident who died of cholangiocarcinoma in 2018. Since the first edition in 2018 the fundraiser has raised over $84,000 and has been associated with more than a 30 percent increase in survival related to research supported by these funds.
Registration options include online and on site registration, and online registration remains open through the race start. New this year the first 25 youth registrants, from toddlers through age 17, receive free registration through sponsorship by Spanky's Sports Bar and Grill. A virtual runner or walker option is available for those who complete the distance at a location of their choosing; virtual participants may record and submit a time for the 5K.
For the 5K onsite competition there are 10 year age groups for both genders, additional age groups under age 20, and medals for the top three finishers in each age group. Team entries require at least three members and awards will recognize top teams both by performance and by fundraising. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
