Cold Coding - Lake Geneva, WI
Cold Coding is a canicross-focused running event organized by TYDISH Running at Lake Geneva Ziplines and Adventures, N3232 County Road H, Lake Geneva, WI. The course is a 4-mile loop on zipline grounds that can be run once or twice for an 8-mile option. The loop includes winding, technical single-track trails and some bridges used by mountain bikers. Total elevation for the 4-mile loop is 463 ft of ascent and 479 ft of descent.
The event centers on dog-powered running; canicross setup involves a runner attached hands-free to a dog with a bungee-style line and waist belt. The event also allows dog-friendly alternatives such as a Y-shaped harness or a handheld leash. Participants without dogs may register as solo runners.
Awards are given to the top three men and women in each distance, but only participants running with a dog are eligible for podium awards. Runners may shorten a preselected distance but doing so makes them ineligible for podium standings. All finishers receive a non-medal finisher item; shirts and similar swag are not included with registration.
On course there will be water and an electrolyte drink available but no single-use disposable cups - participants should bring their own hydration vessel. Alcohol, cowbells, and loud noise makers are not permitted. Leave No Trace rules apply and disrespectful behavior may result in disqualification.
