Cold Coding - Lake Geneva, WI
Cold Coding is a trail running event held on December 13, 2026, at Lake Geneva Ziplines and Adventures, N3232 County Road H, Lake Geneva, WI. The organizer is TYDISH Running. The course is a loop on the zipline grounds that can be run once or twice to create different distances.
Canicross is a primary focus of the event. Canicross runners use a bungee style line and a waist belt so the dog provides forward pull. Dog friendly options are available that use a Y shaped harness and a hand held leash. Participants may register without a dog as a solo runner. Only finishers who ran with a dog are eligible for podium awards. Finishers receive a useful finisher gift instead of a medal. Participants may shorten their preselected distance but become ineligible for podium standings if they do.
The loop follows winding singletrack with technical sections and some bridges shared with mountain bikers. The 4 mile loop has 463 feet of ascent and 479 feet of descent. On course there will be water and an electrolyte drink but no single use disposable cups; participants should bring their own hydration vessel. Alcohol and noise makers such as cowbells are not allowed. The event follows Leave No Trace principles and may disqualify those who show disrespect to the grounds or other users.
