Event Overview
Cold Coding is an outdoor running event held at Lake Geneva Ziplines and Adventures in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Organized by TYDISH Running, the race takes place on a vast landscape featuring technical, winding single-track trails. While the event has a heavy focus on Canicross - a dog-powered sport where participants run hands-free with a dog attached via a bungee line and waist belt - it is also open to "Soulo" runners without dogs. Participants with dogs may also use a "y" shaped harness and handheld leash.
Course Information
The event utilizes a 4 mile loop through the Zipline grounds. The course includes a hill at the start to create space between runners and dogs before entering the single-track sections. The terrain is technical and includes bridges designed for mountain biking. Each 4 mile loop features 463 feet of ascent and 479 feet of descent. Participants should be aware that the grounds are not exclusive to the race, and they may encounter other trail users.

Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 8 Miler (two loops)
- 4 Miler (one loop)
- Run-ation
Event Details
The registration fee covers the race, snacks, drinks, and a finisher gift. To minimize waste, this is a cup-less event, and runners must provide their own hydration vessels. Overall podium awards are reserved for the top three male and female finishers who complete their distance with a dog. This event follows "Leave No Trace" principles and prohibits the use of cowbells or other noise makers to minimize impact on local wildlife and bystanders.
