Event

The Whitewalker Ultra is a 100k trail ultramarathon held Saturday January 17 to Sunday January 18, 2026 in Palmyra, Wisconsin. The race takes place at the Emma Carlin Trailhead, County HWY Z, Palmyra, WI 53156. Entry fee for the listed event is $150. Registration is open until January 16, 2026 at 11:59 pm CST and the event shows available spots.

Course and logistics

The course is two 50k loops that start and finish at the Emma Carlin campground. Loop 1 goes west on the Ice Age Trail to the Whitewater turnaround and back. Loop 2 goes to the Scuppernong Trails and back. Aid stations are located along the course, including HWY 12, Whitewater (turnaround), Emma Carlin (start/finish/halfway), HWY 67, and Scuppernong (turnaround). Specific mile markers are provided by the organizer.

Rules and safety

Runners have 24 hours to complete both loops. No outside support or crew is permitted; only aid stations will provide support and spectators are allowed. Required safety gear includes an emergency blanket, first aid kit, fire starter or lighter, flashlight or headlamp, and an attached light that must be visible at all times.
