Event overview
Ultra X Scotland is a multi-day trail ultramarathon in the Scottish Highlands, centered on the Great Glen and Loch Ness area. The event takes place in Inverness, Scotland on 2-3 May 2026 and is organised for around 1,000 runners and walkers. The Great Glen is a geological valley that runs from Fort William to Moray Firth and contains several large lochs.

- 110 km single stage
- 110 km over two stages (Saturday and Sunday)
- 60 km (Saturday)
- 50 km (Sunday)
- 25 km (Sunday)
- 12 km (Sunday)
Race entry includes a fully marked course, medical and ground support, water and snacks at checkpoints, and a finisher’s medal. A GPS tracker is provided for the 110 km options. GPX route files are available for several distances. Under-23s can participate for free across all distances. The event reports relaxed cut-offs, with an average allowance of 2 hours 30 minutes per 10 km section. Entry fees are shown from £98 to £395, with interest-free instalment plans available.
