Ultra X Scotland
Ultra X Scotland is a two-day ultramarathon set in the Scottish Highlands around Inverness, with the Great Glen and Loch Ness at its heart. The event offers six distances: 110km single stage, 110km over two stages (Sat–Sun), 60km, 50km, 25km and 12km, appealing to a wide range of trail runners. Runners navigate a fully marked course with medical and ground support, water and snacks at checkpoints, and camping facilities at the finish.
Extra touches include GPX routes, a shuttle from Inverness, and a festival atmosphere that emphasises camaraderie. The race is linked to the Great British Slam and UTMB World Series in places. Under-23s participate for free. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
Always double-check with the organizer's website – things can change, and we might have sprinted past a few details!
