Format and logistics
Multiple start locations are used: Queens Park Stadium, Inverness for the 110 km (single and multi-stage) and 60 km; Fort Augustus for the 50 km; Foyers for the 25 km; and Whitefield for the 12 km. Fully stocked aid stations are placed at approximately every 10 km. Multi-stage 110 km entries include camping in the entry fee; 60 km and 50 km entrants may purchase a camp pass. Showers and access to camp facilities are provided on Saturday night for relevant entries.
A full race information pack with timings and cut-offs is emailed to registered participants one month before the event. GPX route files are available for several distances. Cut-offs are described as relaxed, with an average allowance of about 2 hours 30 minutes per 10 km section. If a participant cannot finish a stage, they are offered entry to the next edition at half price but will not receive a finisher’s medal or an official result.
Under-23s can participate for free across all distances. Entry fees range from £98 to £395, with interest-free instalment plans available. Some distances are indexed for the UTMB World Series in relevant categories. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
