Ultra X Scotland event overview
Ultra X Scotland is a two day trail running event held in the Scottish Highlands around Loch Ness with race infrastructure based in and around Inverness. The event offers seven distances:
- 100 miles
- 110 km single stage
- 110 km multi stage
- 60 km
- 50 km
- 25 km
- 16 km Dash
Start locations include Inverness and Dores, with the 60 km starting in Fort Augustus. Aid stations are provided approximately every 10 km along the courses. Certain entry types include camping on Saturday; camping is included for the 100 mile, 110 km single stage and 110 km multi stage entries, while 60 km and 50 km entrants can purchase a camp pass.
Entries receive a Race Pack with detailed logistics and kit lists delivered by email about one month before the event. The event is UTMB World Series indexed in multiple categories, including 100 mile, 100 km, 50 km and 20 km categories. Additional event services listed for participants include a fully marked course, medical support, water and snacks at checkpoints, GPS tracking, drop bag mid-point services and showers with camp facilities on Saturday night. Transfer options and shuttle services are available between Inverness and start or finish locations. Cut-off policies apply and are published for each distance.
