Inverness Half Marathon & 5K
The Inverness Half Marathon & 5K takes place in Inverness on Sunday 14 March 2027. The event offers a half marathon route that follows the banks of the River Ness and passes many of the city’s landmarks, finishing inside Queen's Park Stadium. A separate 5K fun run is held on the same day.

Entries include optional finisher items and event services such as a technical t-shirt, medal, event giveaway, timed results and a digital finisher certificate. There are four water stations on the half marathon course, a High5 gel station, and water at the finish. To reduce waste, water is served in paper cups on the course.
Participants must be at least 17 years old on the day of the event. The half marathon has a maximum completion time of 3 hours 30 minutes; some sections of the course will re-open earlier to reduce disruption to the local area. Overseas participants collect event packs at the Sports Hall on race morning; UK entries receive packs by post in late February. There is a baggage drop at Inverness Leisure on race morning. Wheelchair entry is not available for the half marathon; wheelchair participants can enter the 5K instead. Support runners may be approved for participants with visual impairment or other needs.
