Loch Ness Marathon and Festival of Running
The Baxters Loch Ness Marathon and Festival of Running is an event on Sunday 27 September 2026 that takes place along the shores of Loch Ness and finishes in Inverness. The event programme includes a full marathon plus shorter races and family options, together with a festival and an expo at the finish area.
Entry fees include a commemorative finisher’s medal, a technical finisher’s t-shirt, a goody bag, electronic timing for the Marathon and River Ness 10K events, a downloadable finisher’s certificate from live photos, complimentary post-race food and transport to the Start for marathon entrants. The organisers publish route maps and event information for participants and spectators.
Fundraising is not compulsory but runners are invited to support official charity partners. The event lists several charity partners and provides resources for fundraising.
