Club races
The club organises four races each year. Listed events and their details include:
- Craig Dunain - 10 km, climb 390 m
- Meall a'Bhuachaille - 13 km, climb 720 m
- Knockfarrel Hill Race - 8 km, climb 350 m
- Cioch Mhor - 14 km, climb 660 m
- Meall a’Ghiuthais - 12.2 km, climb 945 m
Knockfarrel Hill Race
The Knockfarrel event is scheduled for 1 November 2025 with registration at Strathpeffer Community Centre. The race start is at Blackmuir Woods, about 1 km from the community centre. Car parking is available at the community centre; there is no parking at the start. Registration is available on the day. Entrants must be aged 18 or older.
The route is marked and marshals will be at key junctions. The course is a mixture of landrover track and footpath; some sections are very steep, muddy and have tree roots. Distance is 8 km with around 350 m of climb. Race insurance cover is provided by Scottish Hill Runners. Muddy shoes are not allowed in the hall. Free refreshments will be available at the finish. Prizes are planned for open and female categories and for age cohorts (40, 50, 60, 70), with exact numbers confirmed on the day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
