Ultra Trail Whistler by UTMB
Ultra Trail Whistler by UTMB is a trail running event in Whistler, British Columbia, associated with Creekside Plaza and using terrain around the Whistler Blackcomb resort. The event includes courses that tour the local mountain landscape.
The event spans two days of racing and offers four distances:
- 100 KM - 5100 m+ elevation gain
- 50 KM - 3200 m+ elevation gain
- 26 KM - 1500 m+ elevation gain
- 12 KM - 550 m+ elevation gain
Courses pass through evergreen forest, alpine lakes, high‑mountain vistas, alpine meadows and technical climbs. Runners can experience views of Black Tusk and varied mountain scenery. Lodging, dining and logistical services are located in the resort village near the race area.
The event is held on the shared, unceded territory of the Lil’wat People, known as L̓il̓wat7úl, and the Squamish People, known as Sḵwx̱wú7mesh. The race logo incorporates artwork created by Chief Ray; the original piece is housed in the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre.
Through UTMB Community Bibs, donations support local organisations and trail stewardship. Half of the registration-linked community bib proceeds go to a local charity chosen by the race team. The Province of British Columbia provides financial support. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
