Ultra In The Black Country - Baggeridge Country Park, 21 Mar 2027
The event is a 32 mile loop that starts and finishes at Baggeridge Country Park near Dudley in the West Midlands. The loop is split into four sections and may be completed by a solo runner, a pair, or a team of four. A £3.50 parking charge applies at the venue.
The route is 97% traffic free and mostly follows well surfaced disused railway lines and canal towpaths. It passes through woodland and urban green spaces, and includes several notable features such as Fen's Pool, the 2.7 km Netherton Tunnel which requires a mandatory head torch, and the 329 m Coseley Tunnel. The route is fully waymarked and a GPX file is provided to participants.
There are three check points that also serve as relay change-over points. Each check point supplies water, an energy drink and assorted food. The final check point is at Aldersley Stadium. The finish area returns through Baggeridge Woods and includes a finisher's medal and a bottle of Teme Valley Brewery beer.
Minimum age is 18 years old on race day. Entrant categories and fees are listed as Solo, Pairs and Team of 4. Early bird pricing is noted for a limited number of solo entries.
