Ultimate Triathlon 150 100 50 : The Mere, Ellesmere
The Ultimate Triathlon takes place at The Mere, Cremorne Gardens, Ellesmere, Shropshire on Sunday 20 June 2027. The event offers three race distances on a single venue with a freshwater open-water swim, a countryside bike route and a lakeside run.
The swim, bike and run use lap formats with defined lap distances: swim laps are 1 km, bike laps are 39 km and run laps are 5 km. The three event options are:
- Ultimate 150: 3 km swim, 117 km bike, 30 km run
- Ultimate 100: 2 km swim, 78 km bike, 20 km run
- Ultimate 50: 1 km swim, 39 km bike, 10 km run
Race logistics and features include electronic chip timing, compulsory wetsuits for all distances, official finishers medals for all entrants, and an official event T-shirt for 150, 100 and 50 finishers. The venue is spectator friendly with swim start, transition and run finish close together. Onsite camping is available free with pre-booking. The bike course runs on tarmac roads through Shropshire countryside and the run is a flat, fully tarmac loop along the lakeside with supporters allowed on closed roads.
Relay teams of two or three people are permitted; team members each complete one or more disciplines and exchange the electronic chip in transition. Age minimums apply for each distance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
