Ultimate Triathlon 150 100 50
The Ultimate Triathlon takes place at The Mere, Cremorne Gardens, Ellesmere, Shropshire on Sunday 20 June 2027. The event combines the former Ultimate Half Triathlon and Shropshire Middle Triathlon into a single race identity and offers individual and team relay options.
Distances
- Ultimate 150 : 3 km swim, 117 km bike, 30 km run
- Ultimate 100 : 2 km swim, 78 km bike, 20 km run
- Ultimate 50 : 1 km swim, 39 km bike, 10 km run
All three events use a lap format: the swim lap is 1 km, the bike lap is 39 km, and the run lap is 5 km. The swim is held in the freshwater Mere. The bike route follows rural Shropshire roads on smooth tarmac. The run is a flat, fully tarmac course with closed roads for the race. The venue places swim start, transition and run finish close together and is described as spectator friendly.
Practical details include compulsory wetsuits for all distances, electronic chip timing, an official T-shirt for 150, 100 and 50 finishers, and an official finisher medal for all entrants. Free onsite camping is offered by pre-book only. Relay teams may consist of two or three people, each completing one or two disciplines and passing the electronic chip through transitions. Competitor race day information is emailed 7-10 days before the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
