Shropshire Santa Run (5K)
The event takes place in Oswestry on Sunday 6th December 2026 with Race HQ at the Memorial Hall, Shropshire SY11 2EG. The run is a festive 5K open to participants aged 11 years and above.
Each entrant receives a five piece Santa suit and a Christmas themed finisher medal. The race uses fully closed roads for participant safety and includes a race village near local parks, shops and cafes. There will be live festive music including a silver band.
Participants may collect their race number and Santa suit before the event at The Lounge on Cross Street on 2–4 December or at Race HQ on the day. Organisers state a race cut off time of 70 minutes; roads will re-open in line with this pace and runners who fall behind may be asked to withdraw for safety.
Parking is available at Bailey Head car park SY11 1PZ or Salop Road Central Car Park SY11 2NR. Marshals will manage road closures and spectators are asked to stay off the course until runners have passed; Church Street is suggested as a viewing area with good pavement coverage.
