Event overview
The Shropshire Santa Run is a 5k running event in Oswestry, Shropshire, scheduled for Sunday 7 December 2025. The event is for participants aged 11 years old and up. Logistics and entries
Race headquarters and the start/finish are at Smithfield Street, Oswestry, SY11 2EG, a short walk from several town centre car parks. Suggested parking locations include Bailey Head car park (SY11 1PZ) and Salop Road Central Car Park (SY11 2NR); local residents are advised to move vehicles before road closures begin if they will need to leave during the event. Spectators are asked to stay off the course until runners have passed; Church Street is suggested for viewing and the route has good pavement coverage.
Entries include a five-piece Santa suit, a Christmas-themed finisher medal, and a winter buff valued at £10. Race number and Santa suit can be collected on the morning of the event at the memorial hall.
