Shropshire Santa Run (5K)
The Shropshire Santa Run is a 5K festive running event in Oswestry on Sunday 6th December 2026. Race headquarters and the start and finish are at the Memorial Hall, Oswestry, Shropshire SY11 2EG. The event is open to participants aged 11 years and older.
Each entrant receives a five piece Santa suit and a Christmas themed finishers medal. Roads on the route will be fully closed for the duration of the event. Organisers apply a race cut off time of 70 minutes; roads will re-open in line with this pace and runners who fall behind may be asked to withdraw for safety reasons.
Race village facilities and the start and finish area will include music, flags and a help desk at Race HQ. The village is a short walk from local parks, car parks, retail shops and cafes. A silver band will play Christmas music during the event.
Parking is suggested at Bailey Head car park SY11 1PZ or Salop Road Central Car Park SY11 2NR, and local residents are advised to park on the outskirts and walk in. Race numbers and Santa suits can be collected on the morning at the Memorial Hall, and there are pre-event suit collection sessions at The Lounge, Cross Street, Oswestry on the days prior to the race.
