Shropshire Santa Run 5k
The Shropshire Santa Run is a festive sporting event held in the town of Oswestry. Participants run through the streets of the town, which are fully closed to vehicle traffic for the duration of the event to ensure safety for all runners and volunteers. The event features a single distance:

The run is open to participants aged 11 years and older. Every registered runner receives a five-piece Santa suit to wear during the event, creating a visual display of thousands of Santas moving through the town.
The race village and headquarters are located at the Memorial Hall in Oswestry. This area serves as the central hub for the start and finish lines and is situated near local car parks, shops, and cafes. To enhance the holiday atmosphere, a silver band plays Christmas music at the finish line.
The event has a designated cut-off time of 70 minutes. Roads are reopened in stages following this pace, and participants who fall behind may be asked to withdraw for safety reasons. All finishers receive a festive themed medal upon completing the course. Participants can collect their running numbers and Santa suits either in the days leading up to the race at a local venue or on the morning of the event at the Race HQ.
