Shropshire Santa Run (5K)
The Shropshire Santa Run is a festive 5K running event held in Oswestry on Sunday 6th December 2026. The course uses town streets and is conducted on fully closed roads with marshals in place for safety. Entry is open to participants aged 11 years old and up.
Each entrant receives a five-piece Santa suit and a Christmas-themed finishers medal. Santa suits can be collected before the event from The Lounge on Cross Street or on the morning of the race at Race HQ. The Race HQ and the start/finish are based at the Memorial Hall, with a nearby race village within walking distance of local parks, car parks, shops and cafes.
Organisers state a race cut off time of 70 minutes; participants who fall behind this pace may be asked to withdraw so roads can be reopened in line with event safety plans. Parking options named by the organisers include Bailey Head car park and Salop Road Central Car Park. Spectators are asked to stay off the course until runners have passed and are advised to follow marshal guidance; Church Street is suggested as a viewing point for the start and finish.
