Event overview
The Shropshire Santa Run is a Santa-themed 5k running event in Oswestry, scheduled for Sunday 7 December 2025. The event is open to participants aged 11 and older. Each entrant is issued a five-piece Santa suit and a Christmas-themed finishers medal. The race uses fully closed roads and has a race cut-off time of 70 minutes.

Race headquarters and the start/finish are at Smithfield Street, Oswestry, SY11 2EG. The race village is a short walk from town centre car parks, shops, cafes and a local park. Number and Santa suit collection is available on the morning of the event at the memorial hall. Entries include a winter buff valued at £10.
Organisers advise spectators to remain off the course and follow marshal instructions; Church Street is suggested for viewing the start and finish. Residents are informed that some roads on the route will be closed for short periods and are asked to follow published diversion routes or move vehicles before the road closures begin.
