Shropshire Santa Run (5K), Oswestry
The Shropshire Santa Run is a festive 5K road event held in Oswestry, Shropshire on Sunday 6th December 2026. The race start and finish are at the Memorial Hall, Oswestry, with a nearby race village close to the local park, shops and cafes.
The event is open to participants aged 11 years and over. Each entry includes a five piece Santa suit to wear for the run and a Christmas themed finishers medal. Roads on the route will be fully closed for the event and a silver band will play Christmas music in the race area.
Organisers provide a race help desk at Race HQ and number and suit collection on the morning of the race. Santa suits may also be collected in the town beforehand at The Lounge, Cross Street, Oswestry; collection dates are Wednesday 2nd December, Thursday 3rd December and Friday 4th December, with additional collection at Race HQ on the event day.
Practical information provided for the day includes advised parking at Bailey Head car park SY11 1PZ or Salop Road Central Car Park SY11 2NR, spectator guidance to use pavements and Church Street to view the start and finish, and a race cut off time of 70 minutes after which roads will reopen.
