Event Overview
The Ullswater Epicman Triathlon & Multisport takes place at Park Foot Holiday Park in Pooley Bridge, Cumbria. The event offers four race formats: triathlon, duathlon, aquathlon, and aquabike. For each format, there are three distance options: Sprint, Standard, and Middle (Epicman).
Distances and Courses
The triathlon distances are as follows:
- Sprint: A 750m swim, a 26k bike, and a 5k run.
- Standard: A 1500m swim, a 44k bike, and a 10k run.
- Middle (Epicman): A 1900m swim, a 90k bike, and a 21k run.
The swim takes place in Ullswater. The bike course is described as undulating. The run is a scenic, lapped course along the shores of the lake.
Other multisport options (duathlon, aquathlon, aquabike) follow the same Sprint, Standard, and Middle distance frameworks.
Participation and Entry
Participants can enter as solo athletes or as part of a relay team of two or three (two for aquathlon and aquabike). Solo entry fees range from £49 for a Sprint Aquabike to £109 for the Middle Distance Triathlon. Relay team entry fees range from £79 to £139.
All participants must have a roadworthy bike, a recognised cycle helmet, and suitable trainers for mixed terrain (grass and hard/compact trails). Age requirements state participants must be 15 years old in the event year for the Sprint distance, 17 for the Standard distance, and 19 for the Middle distance.
A British Triathlon race license or a single-use Race Pass is required to compete.
Event Details
The event is scheduled for Sunday, 28 June 2026. Entries close at noon on the Thursday prior to the event or when the event fills. Registration and results are managed by the organizer, Epic Events.
Included with entry are an Ullswater Triathlon finisher's medal, a swim cap (for triathlon, aquathlon, and aquabike), and free downloadable event photographs. Camping facilities are available at the host holiday park. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
