UKA Fell & Hill Relays 2026 : Todmorden
The UKA Fell and Hill Relays take place in Todmorden with the event base at Centre Vale Park and event HQ at Todmorden Cricket Club, both close to the town centre. Routes lead out of the valley onto the surrounding moors and include woodland, open moorland, bog, heather and tussocks with sections of steep gradient.
The race is a team relay made up of four legs: Leg 1 is a solo leg, AS, open to runners aged 16 and over and is fully flagged. Leg 2 is a pairs leg, AM, for runners aged 18 and over and is partially flagged. Leg 3 is a paired navigation leg, NS, for runners aged 18 and over; competitors follow Leg 1 flags for the first mile then use issued maps for the remainder. Leg 4 is a solo leg, AS, open to runners aged 16 and over and is fully flagged.
Entries open in windows during July and August with a mix of pre-entry reserved places and general entry. The event has a maximum capacity of 200 teams; if oversubscribed some places will be allocated by ballot. Entry fee is £200 per team and refunds are not available. Runners must carry mandatory FRA kit; checks will take place at the changeover area and GPS navigation is prohibited.
The site is close to shops, cafes, pubs and a market. Competitor food and drink are included with entry and catering is available at the cricket club. Recce of courses is permitted on public rights of way, and some route maps will be withheld until after the end of July to protect ground nesting birds.
