Ugly Sweater 5K Run and Sweater Stroll 2026
The event is held at North Side Middle School, 300 Lawrence Street, Elkhart, Indiana. It combines a timed 5K run or walk and an untimed 1.5 mile Sweater Stroll. Registration has defined open and close dates and a single entry fee of $20.
The race location includes indoor gym space for use before and after the event. Packet pickup and onsite registration are offered at an offsite location the day before and at the school on race day. Free parking is available at the school with designated entry and exit on the Bristol Street side.
Participants will follow marked course signage: green arrows for the 5K and pink arrows for the stroll. The course passes through several small parks and follows a route similar to the previous year. Race services listed for entrants include a custom hat, Jumbotron, course support, finisher medals, access to the gym, and postrace hot cocoa and treats. A student-led food truck will offer hot chocolate and snacks at the finish line for a small fee.
A costume contest will recognize the ugliest sweaters in multiple categories, including Best Male, Best Female, Best Teen, Best Youth, and Best Group. Volunteer opportunities are available to support event operations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
