The 5k and 10k use a chip start so individual time begins when the timing mat is crossed. The 5k walk and the 1-mile walk are not timed. The 1-mile walk loops around Island Park and crosses a bridge over the river; it is described as an accessible course.
Event logistics include multiple packet pick-up locations in the days before the event and one race-day pick-up location in Elkhart. Finisher medals are available at the finish for all participants. Dogs on leash, strollers, and costumes are permitted under posted guidelines. Results are displayed on the on-site message board and posted online shortly after finishers cross the line.
