The event takes place on Thursday, November 26, 2026, at Beacon (Elkhart Health & Aquatics), 200 East Jackson Blvd., Elkhart, IN. The facility serves as the home base for registration and race-day operations; as described, the community-side entrance is the far right door by the swimmer statue.
Race options include timed running events and a non-timed walk. Distances offered:
- 10K (timed entry)
- 5K (timed entry)
- One Mile Walk (not timed)
The race uses chip timing so an individual’s official time begins when they cross the timing mat. Results for the 5K and 10K are displayed on a large mobile display called the Monster Message and can be sent to participants by text. A finisher medal is given to every participant at the finish chute. There is no official awards ceremony and no age-group awards; however, the top three male and female finishers in the 10K and 5K receive gravy boats as prizes.
A novelty "Catch the Turkey" contest awards cash to the first male and female to catch a costumed turkey rabbit in the 5K; the turkey rabbit receives a head start and participants are asked not to touch the costumed runner. Packet pickup and registration are provided at multiple locations in the days before the race, including Fleet Feet Mishawaka and local sites in the region.
