Tynedale 'Jelly Tea' 10 Mile
The Tynedale Jelly Tea 10 Mile is a scenic, mainly flat road race held in Matfen, Northumberland. The anti-clockwise 10-mile course travels via High House Farm, Stamfordham and Fenwick, offering a picturesque backdrop for runners before finishing with post-race jelly, a sandwich and a cup of tea. Organized by Tynedale Harriers & AC, it’s promoted as a friendly warm-up for the Great North Run.
Facilities along the route include water stations, distance markers, toilets and changing facilities (no showers or baggage store). Entry is capped at 250, with fees of £24 affiliated or £26 unaffiliated; on-the-day entries are not available. Race HQ is Matfen Cricket Club.
