Event details
The Inflatable 5K Obstacle Course takes place at Newcastle Racecourse, High Gosforth Park, Newcastle upon Tyne on Saturday 22 August 2026. The course is built as a 2.5 km lap; distances offered are multiples of this lap length. The 5 km option includes 30 inflatable obstacles. The event lists the following distance options and obstacle counts:
- 2.5 km - 1 lap, 15 obstacles
- 5 km - 2 laps, 30 obstacles
- 10 km - 4 laps, 60 obstacles
- 15 km - 6 laps, 90 obstacles
The lap repeats the same set of obstacles. The organiser added three new obstacles so the 5 km course now has 30 obstacles. The event includes multiple music zones along the course.
Practical information
Age categories: Adult 16+; Child 5 to 15 years. Children must be accompanied by a paying participating adult at a maximum ratio of 3 children to 1 adult. Dogs are not allowed. Toilets are provided and a water station is positioned midway along the route. Parking is charged at £5 per car; bag drop is £3 per bag and bags are subject to search. Spectators may watch from designated areas at no extra charge. Volunteers receive one free run entry, a T-shirt and a tote bag.
