The Inflatable 5K Obstacle Course in Newcastle takes place on Saturday 22nd August 2026 at Newcastle Racecourse, High Gosforth Park, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE3 5HP. The event offers multiple distance options and repeats a single 2.5 km lap to form the longer distances. Adults are classed as 16+ and children as 5 to 15 years; children must be accompanied by paying participating adults at a maximum ratio of three children to one adult.
Course and on-site facilities
The 2.5 km lap features inflatable obstacles and five music zones along the route. Obstacle counts per distance are fixed by laps: the lap contains 15 obstacles, so the event presents 15, 30, 60 or 90 obstacles depending on chosen distance. Water is available at a midway drink station. Toilets and food and drink vendors are provided on-site. Dogs are not permitted. Parking is charged at £5 per car and bag drop is available for £3 per bag with size limits; bags are searched for safety. Group and family discounts are available, and the Percy Hedley Foundation is named as the event charity of the year. Volunteers receive one free run entry plus a T-shirt and a tote bag.
