Inflatable 5K Newcastle, Northumberland, Saturday 22 August 2026
The Inflatable 5K at Newcastle Racecourse, High Gosforth Park, is an outdoor obstacle event built from large inflatable elements such as slides, tunnels and climbable features. The course is based on a 2.5 km lap that repeats for longer distances. Organisers added three new obstacles so the 5 km distance includes 30 inflatable obstacles. Five music zones are placed around the route.
Event services on site include a finisher's medal for every participant, a goodie bag, a post-run drink and a midway water station. Toilets are provided and food and drink vendors will be available. Parking is charged at £5 per car and bag drop is available for £3 per bag. Dogs are not allowed at the venue.
Children aged 5 to 15 must be accompanied by a paying participating adult with a maximum ratio of three children to one adult. Spectators may watch from designated spectator areas and must not access the marked course or obstacles. Volunteering offers a free run entry, a T-shirt and a tote bag. The event names the Percy Hedley Foundation as Charity of the Year for 2026 and lists Maggie’s Newcastle, LD North East and St Benedict’s Hospice as charity partners.
