Twisted Branch Trail Run - August 22, 2026
Twisted Branch Trail Run is a point to point trail race in Naples, NY following the historic Bristol Hills Branch trail. The main advertised distance is 100K+ (noted as feeling like 65 miles) with an estimated elevation of 10,000G/11,000L. The course is nearly 95% single track and runs through varied, undeveloped terrain rather than groomed park trails.
The event lists 11 fully stocked aid stations along the route, five of which have easy access for crew. The race has a 20 hour cutoff. It is a qualifying event for major ultras: all finishers receive 4 UTMB points, and the course serves as a Western States qualifier (under 20 hours).
Logistics include a shuttle service to the start offered on the Friday before the race only; the shuttle returns runners to their cars at the finish and is available for an additional fee. Camping is provided free for two nights: Friday night at Ontario County Park near the start, and Saturday night at the Hammondsport Fire Hall grounds next to the finish area. Event organizers note that much of the route is runnable but contains challenging trail conditions and variable terrain. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
