Twisted Branch Trail Run : Naples, NY, August 22, 2026
The event is a point to point trail ultramarathon held in Naples, New York, following the historic Bristol Hills Branch trail. The course distance is listed as 100K (estimated 100k+; described as feeling like 65 miles). The trail is nearly 95% single track and runs between two small lake towns.
The organizer lists an estimated elevation of 10,000G/11,000L and 11 fully stocked aid stations, five of which have easy access for crew. There is a 20 hour race cutoff. The race awards 4 UTMB qualification points and can serve as a Western States qualifier if finished in under 20 hours.
Logistics include a shuttle service to the start offered on Friday night only; the shuttle option is available for an additional $10 at checkout and participants leaving cars at the start can retrieve them at the finish. Camping is free both nights: Friday night at Ontario County Park near the starting area, and Saturday night at the finish at the Hammondsport Fire Hall grounds adjacent to the finish area.
The organizer notes the course is not a groomed park trail and may include sections that appear flat on an elevation profile but are difficult on foot. Volunteers and aid support are provided along the course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
