Twisted Branch Trail Run
Twisted Branch Trail Run is a 100K trail event in Naples, New York that follows the historic Bristol Hills Branch trail. The course is point to point and uses nearly 95% single track through Finger Lakes terrain and small lake towns. The organizer lists the estimated distance as 100k+ (feels like 65 miles) and estimated elevation as 10,000G/11,000L. The event includes a 20 hour cutoff.
The course is described as runnable but not groomed, with sections that may be harder than elevation profiles suggest. The route follows a trail with a long history that connects two lake towns and passes through varied and remote areas.
Support features include 11 fully stocked aid stations, five of which have easier access for crew, and volunteer staffing. The event is a UTMB qualifier worth four points and is listed as a Western States qualifier for finishes under 20 hours.
Logistics noted by the organizer include a shuttle to the start offered on Friday night only, available for an additional fee, and free camping both nights. Friday night camping is at Ontario County Park near the starting area; Saturday night camping is at the Hammondsport Fire Hall grounds near the finish. Registration closes on August 1 at 11:59 PM ET.
