Twisted Branch Trail Run
The Twisted Branch Trail Run is scheduled for August 22, 2026 in Naples, NY, near 6475 Gannett Hill Park Drive. The event is a point to point trail race that follows the historic Bristol Hills Branch trail through the Finger Lakes region. The course is described as running between two small lake towns along a trail that has existed for over sixty years.
The event distance is listed as 100K+ with an estimated profile that organizers note can feel longer. Estimated elevation is given as 10,000G and 11,000L. The route is nearly 95% single track and is not a groomed park trail; organizers advise that some sections that appear flat on the elevation profile may be among the most difficult miles. There is a 20 hour cutoff for finishers.
Course support includes 11 fully stocked aid stations, with five of those having easy access for crew, and volunteer support is provided. The race is a UTMB qualifier worth 4 points and is listed as a Western States qualifier for those finishing under 20 hours.
Shuttle service to the start is offered on Friday night only; the shuttle option is available for an additional fee at checkout and participants can leave vehicles to be returned to the finish. Camping is free both nights: Friday at Ontario County Park (start area) and Saturday night at the Hammondsport Fire Hall grounds (finish area). Registration closes Sat, Aug 1 at 11:59 PM ET.
