Gateway to the Finger Lakes 5K Run/Walk and 1K Fun Run
The event takes place in Bath, New York on May 8, 2027, at the corner of Wilson and East Morris Street. The Bath Kiwanis sponsors the event and directs net proceeds to local youth projects, senior citizen events, and other community needs. The sponsoring organization has served the community for over 65 years.
The course is described as mainly flat with a long slow rise in the middle. The route passes through parts of the Finger Lakes region and is noted for its local scenery.
Distances and event types:
- 5K - Run/Walk (The Seneca). Fee $25. Awards for overall 1st, 2nd, 3rd male and female 18 and over.
- 1K - Kids Fun Run (The Canadice). Fee $5. Participation awards for all runners.
- 5K - Student Run/Walk (The Keuka). Fee $20. Awards by age group for ages 11-17.
Students who participate in the 5K with a parent may not take part in the 1K Fun Run. Students with prior running experience may enter a 5K event with parental permission. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
