About the race
Mrs. McCormick's Ice House is a winter trail race on January 16, 2027, held at Ontario County Park at Gannett Hill in Naples, NY. The course is a roughly 4-mile loop that participants may run once, twice, or three times to create the chosen distance. The race day course is subject to change based on trail conditions, weather, and the Race Director's decisions.

Race headquarters is at Wilson Lodge in the park; the lodge is heated and has permanent restrooms. Parking is available next to the lodge and park roads and parking will be plowed if needed. The event is organized by FarFetched Enterprises and is the second race in the Common Ground Winter Trail Series.
Organizers note an emphasis on winter conditions: shoes with aggressive tread or traction options and gaiters are recommended. Snowshoes are generally not permitted during the race, though a snowshoe demo will be offered and one participant will win a pair. The event features post-race facilities and food at the heated lodge, including buckwheat pancakes with maple syrup, hot chai, hot chocolate, warm cider, hydration options, fresh fruit, and snacks.
