About the race
Mrs. McCormick's Ice House is a winter trail race held at Ontario County Park at Gannett Hill in Naples, NY. The event uses an approximately 4 mile loop that participants may complete once, twice, or three times to create different distances.

Race headquarters is at Wilson Lodge, a heated building with indoor restrooms and adjacent parking. Park roads and parking will be plowed if needed, and the main park road operates one way so participants should follow posted signs. The course is designed to visit favored trail sections while avoiding heavy snow and windy exposures, but the race day course may change for weather, trail conditions, or race director decisions.
Organizers note a snowshoe race listed for 2027 and also state that snowshoes are not permitted during the main trail race; participants are advised to bring footwear with aggressive tread or traction options. Distance selection is flexible and may be changed up to race check-in or adjusted on the day depending on conditions.
Post-race provisions include hot beverages, hot chocolate, pancakes with local maple syrup, fresh fruit, and a heated space for changing and socializing.
