Frozen Assets Endurance Run is a winter trail race held at Harriet Hollister Spencer State Recreation Area in Springwater, NY. The event is organized by Farfetched Enterprises and is planned as an approximately 10k loop that starts and finishes in the park parking lot. The course follows mostly winding single track trails blazed for the S6 Endurance Mountain Bike Race. The exact distance may change due to trail or weather conditions.
The race is the first event in the Common Ground Winter Trail Series. Registrants may choose to sign up for the full series in short, medium, or long options and may switch distances after registering. Series registrants receive a few bonuses, including free entry to the Go Forth! event, series swag, and entry into a random draw for FarFetched Mug Club membership with a custom 24 fl oz mug.
Logistics note that the park has a large parking lot and a short walk down Overlook Road to Race HQ; the final quarter mile into the park is unpaved. There are no indoor facilities; a single bathroom is available and no additional port-a-potties will be provided. Snow is likely on course; snowshoes are not permitted. Participants should plan to carry their own water and fuel because there are no aid stations on course. A modest selection of food and drink will be available at the start and finish. The organizers allow deferrals and refunds under stated deadlines and reserve the right to disqualify participants for unsporting actions.
