Frozen Assets Endurance Run

Frozen Assets Endurance Run is a winter trail race at Harriet Hollister Spencer State Recreation Area in Springwater, NY. The course is an approximately 10k loop that starts and finishes at the park parking lot and follows mostly winding single-track trails blazed for the S6 Endurance Mountain Bike Race. There is a good probability of snow on the course; snowshoes are not permitted. Runners should be aware of two crossings of the C4 snowmobile trail, where snowmobiles have the right of way, and should avoid groomed nordic ski trails.

Logistics and series

Race headquarters and parking are in the Harriet Hollister Spencer State Recreation Area parking lot. There are no indoor facilities in the park and only one on-site bathroom; the last quarter mile into the park is not paved and conditions can be variable. There are no aid stations on course, so participants should carry their own water and fuel. A modest selection of food and drink will be available at the start and finish area, including warm apple cider, Skratch Hydration, water, snacks, and GU gels. A post race gathering is planned at a location to be determined.
