Twilight Trail 5K
The Twilight Trail 5K takes place at the Kanuga Conference Center in Hendersonville, NC on August 8, 2026. The event is a golden-hour trail race that follows a thoughtfully designed 5K course with mixed surfaces and gentle elevation changes.
The event offers both onsite and virtual participation options. In-person entries include a race bib with chip timing, a finisher medal, complimentary race photos and a goody bag. Virtual participants may run on their own course, post results online, and receive their finisher medal and shirt by mail if eligible.
Event swag and deadlines are specified: registrants who sign up by July 12 receive a Bella Canvas Twilight Trail 5K race shirt in youth or adult sizes; shirts remain available for purchase in limited sizes after that date. All registered participants receive a custom Twilight Trail 5K finisher medal. There is a pre-event packet pickup at the Kanuga Conference Center on August 8 from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM, with pickup ending promptly at 5:00 PM.
The race is part of the Kanuga Trail & Tri Weekend Challenge, which combines the Twilight Trail 5K on August 8 and the Kanuga Triathlon on August 9. Weekend Challenge participants receive finisher medals for both events, special recognition, and a Nomadix-style performance towel. Presenting sponsor is Kanuga Conference Center; corporate sponsor is Biltmore Farms; race partners include iDaph Events + Timing and iDream Athletes Foundation.
