Twilight Trail 5K
The Twilight Trail 5K in Hendersonville, North Carolina is scheduled for August 21, 2027. Registration opens January 7, 2027.
The event uses a single-loop 5K (3.1 miles) course on Kanuga's trail system, the same run course used in the Kanuga Triathlon. The route combines smooth single-track, double-track, forest road, and a few short paved sections with gentle elevation changes. The course is described as scenic and shaded.
Participants who register by July 12 receive a free commemorative shirt; shirts are $25 after that deadline. The first 300 registrants receive a custom finisher medal. The event uses professional chip timing, awards age group prizes, and provides a clearly marked route with GPS-supported navigation. A virtual race option is available; virtual participants receive mailed shirt and finisher item when offered. The event can be combined with the Kanuga Weekend Challenge. On-site lodging and primitive camping are available through Kanuga Inn and lodging options at discounted participant rates.
