Hendersonville's 14th Annual Turkey Trot 5K

Hendersonville's 14th annual Turkey Trot is an unsanctioned 5K fun run that benefits Hope Coalition. The event is based at City Hall, 160 6th Ave E, Hendersonville, NC, and follows a route from 6th Avenue in front of City Hall, down Main Street to the Ecusta Trail, then looping back onto 5th Avenue to finish at City Hall.

The distance is 5K (3.1 miles). Registration is offered in tiered windows with listed fees: Early Bird July 23 to October 3 $28, October 4 to October 31 $31, November 1 to November 23 $34, and November 24 to November 26 $38. All registrations are non refundable. A long sleeve Turkey Trot tee is included with registration but is not guaranteed after November 10 at midnight; a limited number of tees will be available for purchase the morning of the run for $25, with children sizes offered only in short sleeves.

Packet pickup is scheduled in the days before the event at the Hope Coalition Youth Connection Center, 301 N Justice St, with additional packet availability on race day at City Hall; unclaimed packets may be sold after the race begins. The event includes prize categories such as Fastest Male, Fastest Female, Fastest Youth Male and Female (12 and under), Best Costume, Best Group Costume, Farthest Traveled, and Best Pet Costume.

Hope Coalition's mission focuses on preventing substance misuse among youth and supporting long term recovery for those impacted by alcohol and drug addiction.
