Ugly Sweater Run : Brevard, NC
The Ugly Sweater Run is scheduled for December 6, 2025, at Oskar Blues Brewery Taproom in Brevard, North Carolina. The event offers two distance options:
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- 10K (6.2 miles)
This is the event’s sixth year and it is presented by Hunter Subaru.
Course and event details
The course is described as scenic and mostly flat, running along local greenways, around the Brevard Sports Complex, and through neighborhood streets. The 5K loop has under 100 feet of elevation gain; the 10K is a double loop of the same route. Surfaces are all paved. The event is stroller and pet friendly; participants under 14 should be accompanied by an adult.
Timing uses a professional chip system with live results published online. All participants receive a finisher ornament and a Hunter Subaru goody bag. Registrations made before the stated deadlines include a short sleeve dri-fit shirt; shirts are available for purchase after the deadline. The race bib includes a ticket redeemable for a complimentary beer at Oskar Blues Brewery for those 21 and older. Awards are given to overall and age-group top finishers. A group contest, the Sweater Squad Showdown, awards $1,000 to the cause with the most registered participants. A virtual option is available with swag mailed to virtual participants.
