Ugly Sweater Run presented by Hunter Subaru
The Ugly Sweater Run takes place at Oskar Blues Brewery Taproom in Brevard, NC on Saturday, December 5, 2026. The event offers in-person and virtual options and is part of the Holiday Hustle series.
The course is described as scenic and mostly flat, following Brevard greenways, passing the Sports Complex, and running through neighborhood streets. Surfaces are all paved and the 5K features under 100 feet of elevation gain; the 10K runs a double loop of the same course. The route has course marshals, signage, and police on course; all runners under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Pets are allowed on the course.

All participants receive a finisher medal. Registrations completed by November 1 include a performance race shirt: a short sleeve dri-fit for the 5K and a long sleeve performance shirt for the 10K. Each race bib includes a ticket that can be redeemed for a complimentary beer at Oskar Blues Brewery for participants 21 and older. Packet pickup is handled at Oskar Blues Brewery.
The event includes a Sweater Squad Showdown where groups of 10 or more register under a common group name; the group with the most participants wins $1,000 to donate to a chosen organization, with tied winners decided by random drawing.
