Ugly Sweater Run presented by Hunter Subaru
The Ugly Sweater Run takes place on December 5, 2026 at Oskar Blues Brewery Taproom in Brevard, NC. The event offers in-person and virtual options and is presented by Hunter Subaru as part of the Holiday Hustle series.
The course is described as scenic and mostly flat, using Brevard’s greenways, passing the Sports Complex, and moving through neighborhood streets. The 5K features under 100 feet of elevation gain, while the 10K is run as a double loop of the same course. All surfaces on the course are paved and spectator access is noted as easy.

- 5K (single loop, under 100 feet elevation gain)
- 10K (double loop on the same course)
- Virtual 5K and Virtual 10K options available
All participants receive a finisher medal. Registrants who sign up before November 1 receive a complimentary dri-fit shirt; the 5K shirt is a short sleeve performance tee and the 10K shirt is a long sleeve performance tee. Race bibs include a ticket redeemable for a complimentary beer at Oskar Blues Brewery for participants 21 and older. Youth pricing for the 5K is available for ages 12 and under through November 29.
The event is family friendly but all runners age 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult because the course uses roads that remain open to traffic with course marshals and police present. Registrations are non-refundable; options include transferring to the virtual event, requesting a deferral up to 15 days before race day, or changing race distance. Transfers between participants are prohibited.
A Sweater Squad Showdown awards $1,000 to the registered group with the most participants; groups must register 10 or more people and have members enter the same group name.
