Event Overview
The Twilight Run is the 24th edition of this annual event. It is a Wednesday evening race in downtown Lansing.
Course Details
The event features a single 5k run/walk distance. The course is an out-and-back route on the Lansing River Trail, described as accurate and scenic. The start and finish are located at 200 Museum Drive.
Registration & Fees
General entry fees are tiered: $30 until June 11 (with a guaranteed t-shirt), $35 from June 12 to June 16 (shirt not guaranteed), and $40 on race day (no shirt). A discounted entry fee of $20 is available for participants aged 18 and under, applied automatically during registration.
There is a referral program where participants can receive a $5 refund for each friend they refer who registers.
Schedule & Logistics
Packet pickup occurs on race day from 5:30 PM to 6:50 PM at the start/finish area at the end of Museum Drive.
Awards
Awards include medals for the top three finishers in each age group, spanning categories from 10 & under to 80+. Overall and Master (over 40) winners also receive a $25 Playmakers gift certificate along with a medal. Awards are available at the race.
Participant Experience
Race results, including accurate chip times and current overall/age group placement, are texted to participants' phones and posted live online.
Beneficiary
Proceeds from the event support high school and middle school cross country and track programs, as well as youth running clubs, through the Michigan Running Foundation grant program. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
