Summer Turkey Trot
The Summer Turkey Trot is a 4 mile road race held at Tricky's Hotel, Bar and Restaurant on Tolgus Mount in Redruth, organised by Cornwall Athletic Club and taking place on 15 July 2026. The course is ARC certified and the event is held under ARC rules with permit ARC/26/0534.
Race headquarters and registration are in the Garden Room at Tricky's. Entrants must collect their race number and ankle timing chip on the day and return the chip after finishing; placings are determined using gun to chip time. Parking is available at Tricky's and a baggage store is provided; baggage and contents are left at the owner’s risk. A race memento is guaranteed to the first 450 finishers.
Prizes are awarded for overall male and female placings and for age-category positions, with vouchers for the top three overall finishers. Team prizes are offered for male and female teams. Presentations will take place at Tricky's after the race.
The route follows public roads from Tolgus Mount toward Illogan and returns via the A3047. Marshals will be in place but cannot stop traffic; runners are responsible for their own safety at junctions. There are no water stations on the course. Personal audio devices are banned and competitors found using them will be disqualified. Dogs, wheelchairs, wheeled carriages and cycles are not permitted on the course.
