Summer Turkey Trot
The Summer Turkey Trot is a 4 mile road race on 15 July 2026 with race headquarters at Tricky’s Hotel, Bar and Restaurant, Tolgus Mount, Redruth TR15 3TA. The event is organised by Cornwall Athletic Club and is part of the Cornwall Grand Prix series. The 2026 race is the 51st running of the Turkey Trot.
The course leaves Tolgus Mount, follows a left turn route toward Illogan via Higher Broad Lane, Barncoose Terrace and the A3047, then returns to Tolgus Mount. Marshals will be placed around the route but cannot stop traffic; runners are responsible for their own safety at junctions and must check for vehicles and hazards before crossing. There are no water stations on the course.
The race uses chip timing with ankle tags; placings are awarded using gun to chip time and chips must be returned after the race. Race numbers must not be folded, cut or mutilated. MP3 players and personal audio devices are banned for health and safety reasons. Dogs, wheelchairs, wheeled carriages and cycles are not permitted and competitors cannot be accompanied or followed on the course.
Entrants must be at least 15 years old. Registration and number collection take place at Tricky’s. Entries close on 13 July 2026 and entries may be permitted on the day if the event limit has not been reached. Prize vouchers are awarded to top finishers and to age and team categories.
