About the race
The TuscParks Canal Tavern of Zoar 5K Run & Walk is a chip-timed 5K event in Bolivar, Ohio, along the scenic Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail from Fort Laurens to the Canal Lands Park trailhead in Zoar. Runners and walkers share a single-course route that showcases the canal towpath scenery. Sign-in and registration are near Canal Lands Park and the Canal Tavern of Zoar, and a shuttle ferries participants to the Fort Laurens starting point.
After the race, participants enjoy an Octoberfest-style celebration on the Canal Tavern patio. Proceeds support development and maintenance of the Towpath Trail in Tuscarawas County. Timing by CHAMP Racing. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
