About the race
Sancta Clara Monastery Nun Run is a community event held in Canton, Ohio at St George Byzantine Catholic, 1121 44th St NE, 44714. The event offers a *5K Run/Walk* and a free *100 Yards Kids Fun Run*. The 5K course runs through neighboring streets, along the Middlebranch trail, and through the monastery grounds, with nuns present along the route.
Strollers are welcome. There is a shirt only option for those who wish to support the Poor Clares sisters without running the course. Registration is limited to the first 300 participants because of fire code and parking.
Specific registration periods and fees apply for each event. An awards ceremony with refreshments and food follows the race at St George reception hall. All finishers receive a running nun medal. Awards include top three overall male and female finishers and top three in male and female age groups in these categories: 9 and under, 10 to 14, 15 to 18, 19 to 24, 25 to 29, 30 to 34, 35 to 39, 40 to 44, 45 to 49, 50 to 54, 55 to 59, 60 to 64, 65 to 69, and 70 and over.
