Dover Knights of Columbus Ghost Chase 5K and Kids' Run
The event is centered at the Dover Knights of Columbus Hall near the Warther Museum lower parking lot. The main race is a 5K course that uses dirt roads, cemetery paths, and city streets, and it is chip timed. Long sleeve T-shirts are provided to all participants. Awards are given for best costumes and for overall and age group winners. Volunteers staff the event and post-race refreshments are available.
Registration requires a fee of $25. Participants who recruit four or more additional participants receive a $15 registration refund.
A free Kids' Run of about 400 yards is offered for children age 6 and under. No registration is required for the Kids' Run; all child participants receive a race bib and a ribbon.
Proceeds from the event benefit Dover Knights of Columbus activities that support St. Joseph Church and Tuscarawas Central Catholic Elementary School.
Age groups for awards cover youth through senior competitors and include: 13 and under, 14-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, and 75 and over.
