Tuscazoar Raw - Camp Tuscazoar, Dover, OH
Tuscazoar Raw is a trail running event at Camp Tuscazoar near Dover, Ohio offering multiple distance options and on-course support. The event uses the camp start/finish area at the Stockade by the main parking lot.
Distances offered:
- 100K
- 50K
- 25K
The course combines a roughly 19 mile loop and a separate 12 mile loop arranged like a figure 8. 50K runners complete the figure 8 once, 100K runners complete it twice, and 25K runners split off the 19 mile loop to return to the finish. The route is mainly trails with about 1.5 miles of packed gravel. The 100K accumulates up to approximately 10,500 feet of elevation gain.
Aid stations are located along the course, with some stations offering water only and others full aid. Crew access is available at miles 5.4, 19, 22.5, 25.5 and 31. The event is cupless, so runners must carry a hydration system and are recommended to bring a reusable or collapsible cup for drinks. There is a 20 hour cutoff for all distances and pacers are not permitted.
Packet pickup is available the day before from 4:00 to 7:00 PM and on race morning starting at 4:30 AM at the Stockade. Each entrant receives a race shirt and a brewery ticket; finishers receive a medal. No refunds are offered; deferral with full credit to the following year is allowed up to three weeks before the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
