Turtle Trot : SunWest Park 5K Run/Walk
The Turtle Trot is a 5K run and walk held at SunWest Park in Hudson, Florida, located at 17362 Old Dixie Highway. The course follows a paved hiking path that loops around old salt mines within the park. Participants may run or walk any distance.
Every registered participant receives a finisher award. In the timed 5K, the top male and top female finishers receive overall awards. Event t-shirts are offered as an optional add-on during registration, with those proceeds able to be donated to the event beneficiary.
Proceeds from the event support the Pasco County Parks, Recreation, and Natural Resources Adaptive and Inclusive Programming, known as PAIR. PAIR’s stated purpose is to offer inclusive and adaptive programming within the county parks and recreation system so that individuals of varied abilities have access to recreational opportunities and community programming.
