Turtle Trot 10K & 5K
The Turtle Trot is held at SunWest Park in Hudson, Florida. The course follows a paved hiking path that passes around old salt mines. Participants may run or walk any distance offered.
Events include the following distances:
- 10K (timed)
- 5K (timed)
- 5K (untimed)
Packet pickup is scheduled on the morning of the event and a pre-race meeting is held before the races. Every registered participant receives a finisher award. The top male and female in the timed 10K and timed 5K receive overall awards. T-shirts are available as an add-on during registration so that registration proceeds can be donated to PAIR.
Proceeds from the event support the Pasco County Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources Adaptive and Inclusive Programming (PAIR). The PAIR program aims to provide inclusive and adaptive programming within county parks and recreation so individuals of all abilities have access to recreational opportunities and community programs.
Course layout notes indicate the 5K consists of one big loop and one small loop, and the 10K follows a big loop, a small loop, then repeats the pattern. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
