The Turkey Trot 5K takes place on Thursday, November 27, 2025, at Jefferson Patterson Park and Museum in Saint Leonard, MD. The event listing includes both an in-person 5K and a Virtual 5K. The race is described as a Project ECHO Thanksgiving tradition that began in 2012.

Registration and packet pickup
Registration fees change by date during the entry period. Standard adult rates are tiered by registration window and increase closer to the race. Youth pricing is fixed: ages 4-12 are charged a reduced rate and ages 0-3 register free. Packet pickup is available at Project ECHO Homeless Shelter, 484 Main Street, Prince Frederick, MD 20678, on the days immediately before the race (November 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, and 26); on-site check-in is available on race day.
Course, awards and entries
The 5K course starts and ends at the Pavilion at Jefferson Patterson Park and Museum. A course map will be posted the week of the race. Entries include a custom long-sleeve race shirt, a custom finisher medal, and real-time results. Awards are given to top overall male and female and to the top three male and female finishers in the listed age groups from 12 & under through 80+.
Beneficiaries
Race proceeds benefit Project ECHO and the Friends of Jefferson Patterson Park & Museum. Project ECHO provides emergency shelter and supportive housing in Calvert County; the Friends group supports educational programming and free park events.
