Gobble Gallop 5K - Lexington Park
The Gobble Gallop 5K in Lexington Park is a community run and walk held on Thanksgiving morning. The event is the fourth annual edition and takes place at IHM, 22375 Three Notch Road, Lexington Park, MD 20653.
The nearly all-flat course begins and ends at IHM and includes scenic legs along neighboring business properties on Route 235. Participants may run or walk the 5K; strollers and dogs on leashes are allowed. Thanksgiving-spirited apparel is encouraged.
Proceeds benefit the St. Vincent de Paul of IHM Food Pantry, which provides food and financial assistance to local residents. Organizers will collect non-perishable food donations at packet pickup; a St. Vincent de Paul volunteer will distribute this year’s commemorative winter accessory bearing the event logo.
Registration opens September 14, 2026 and closes November 22, 2026. The registration fee is $25.00. Packet pickup and on-site cashless registration are scheduled for Wednesday, November 25 from 3:00 to 7:00 pm and Thursday, November 26 from 6:30 to 7:15 am.
Race day parking uses the north driveway as a two-way entrance with parking attendant direction; the south driveway will be used for the race and for pedestrians only. Participants are asked to use caution around event traffic. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
