About the race
The Lenny and Joe's Madison Turkey Trot takes place on Thursday, November 26, 2026 in Madison, Connecticut. The event is organized by the Madison Jaycees and starts and finishes on the historic Madison Town Green in the heart of town. Courses run along the shoreline and include views of Long Island Sound and local shoreline neighborhoods.
Distances include:
- 5 Miles - 5-mile run; USATF course certified; RFID timing
- 2 Miles - 2-mile walk; leashed pets and strollers allowed on the walk course
The run and walk use separate courses. Prizes are awarded to the top three overall finishers, male and female, and to age groups from 12 and under through 100+, with awards based on chip timing for age groups. Best Costume awards are given after the race. Long sleeve t-shirts are guaranteed to the first 2,500 pre-registered participants. A post-race party and refreshments follow the 5-mile event.
Packet pick-up is held at Lenny and Joe's in Madison on Tuesday, November 24 and Wednesday, November 25; packet pick-up may be completed on behalf of other participants. Registration fees listed are $30 for runners and $20 for walkers, with a scheduled fee increase on November 19. Several nearby parking lots are noted around the Madison Green; participants are asked to avoid parking on grass and non-marked spaces.
