Branford Thanksgiving 5K
The Branford Thanksgiving 5K is scheduled for November 26, 2026 at Walsh Intermediate School, 185 Damascus Road, Branford, CT. The event includes a 5K road race, a Kids Fun Run, and a new 2 mile walk option that is described as casual and family friendly.

The 5K course begins and finishes at Walsh Intermediate School and travels through Route 146 and Pine Orchard Golf Course. The course is described as flat. The Kids Fun Run has its own short course map.
The event features pre and post race activities including kids activities, music, and grab and go food. Early packet pick up is available at Marathon Sports Branford.
Proceeds benefit the Rotary Club of Branford and the Soundview Family YMCA. Funds raised support local programs such as the Rotary Club of Branford’s veteran luncheon and senior holiday dinner, the Branford Food Pantry, Orchard House Adult Medical Day Center, and Branford Counseling and Community Services. The event notes that proceeds help provide food for the hungry during the holiday season.
Parking at Walsh Intermediate School is limited to 300 spots; additional parking is available in the Meadow Wood Road and Sunset Hill area with directions marked by yellow signs. Event entry is limited to 2,000 participants. Awards are given to top finishers and top age group performers, plus finisher ribbons for kids.
